Who are we?

gorbeia_alava.jpg

GORBEIA is the green heart of Euskadi, nature, pure air, a wild landscape and typical customs where you can get to know and feel the Basque culture.

Our villages preserve their traditions and our parks are symbols of Euskadi's mountain tradition. We live the language and identity.

Gorbeia is an authentic, honest and respectful destination that wants to embrace you, inviting you to immerse yourself in our customs and respecting the environment.

MAKE A SUMMIT

In Gorbeia you reach the summit when you go up to the Cross, at the top of Mount Gorbea and also when you discover:

  • Our gastronomic customs: That moment when you have a txakolí or a cider and a pintxo, discover the farmhouse products, try the home-made food, the bars and restaurants and the gastronomic experiences of Gorbeia.

  • The wild beauty of our surroundings: That moment when you enjoy the diversity of the flora and fauna of Gorbeia. The sunrises and sunsets, the reddish colours of autumn, the greens of spring and the whites of winter.

  • Basque culture: That moment when you hear Basque spoken and utter your first word. When you take part in our traditions and immerse yourself in our way of life.

  • Active wellbeing: That moment when you walk along routes and paths through beech forests, seeing reservoirs, waterfalls and caves, enjoying the views from viewpoints, peaks and valleys and the Basque mountaineering tradition.

The peak moment is that moment when you breathe the pure air of Gorbeia after a day of activities and you feel good. You feel the emotions of living Gorbeia. You feel that you have reached the summit.
